RED SQUARE PARTY IN SECOND LIFE
Virtual Moscow official oppening, builders of Virtual City extend an invitation
(Moscow Island, September 1st, 2007) - Get ready for a Red Square Party in Virtual Moscow. Muscovites and guests will dress in red to celebrate the completion of phase 1 construction work of Moscow Island in Second Life.
«This is the first mega-event of the Virtual Moscow and we glad to attract party people,» says Musasi Tanabe, founder of Moscow Island. Project was launched in March 2007 and become well-known long before official openning. «We are sure that by the best efforts of the constructors lead by Jess Saiman and Vega Pilipenko the Second Life Moscow will impress everyone. We are glad that the number of our residents is growing every day and first quests can be granted to Moscow citizenship as a gift.»
Moscow in real life is one of the World’s greatest cities. Major urban complex, synonym of culture, wealth and material luxury – this is modern Capital of Russia. Second Life’s Moscow, based on genuine enthusiasm of community, will be a true image of the Russian Capital in the best sense of the term. Some of the main buildings in Moscow Island include the Red Square with its instantly recognizable Saint Basil’s cathedral, the mighty walls of the Kremlin, Lenin’s Mausoleum and GUM among others.
The Party begins with a special music performance. «Moscow is noted throughout the World for its night culture – how could we not maintain good traditions in the Virtual Moscow?», says party organizer Sergey Pimenov (aka Uplifto Ochs in SL), largest Russian dance music label UPLIFTO Chief. “We are also planning to build a number of social-and-recreational buildings in the city to be used for several cultural, educational and entertainment projects. “ said Sergey when asked about other plans for the community.
Virtual Moscow has already attracted many Russian and World mass media publications including CNN, REN TV, CNews, Russian Newsweek, Kommersant Dengi, TRUD, Business Petersburg, Dni.ru and other. This project began as a result of partners deciding to start a great architectural image in Second Life and eventually expanded into a much larger venture. Members believe that the culture exchange of nations in the virtual world can change real life.
Well, the epos begins on 19.00 Moscow Summer Time (8.00 Second Life Time), Saturday September 1st, 2007 at Red Square in Moscow Island. Avatar of DJ and songstress Tina Charles (aka Ti Nishi in SL) will entertain the party people. It is worthly of note that Virtual Moscow opening on the eve of 860th Moscow city anniversary celebration. «Therefore since we are all in it together, we can have a good time together!», calling up to the guests Tina.
Virtual universe Second Life (www.secondlife.com) – is a most popular 3D world. Second Life’s virtual currency is the Linden Dollar and is exchangeable for real money (1 US$ = 273 L$). Daily turnover of virtual economy is 1,2 – 1,5 million US$. According to Linden Lab information now in virtual world over 9 million residents. Furthermore experts says that 80 % of active Internet users will live «double life» latterly the end of 2011.
