2. На страничке регистрации необходимо выбрать любые незанятые имя и фамилию аватара, ввести пароль и e-mail, затем нажать кнопку Создать аватара.

3. Затем нужно скачать клиент по этой ссылке (около 40мб).

4. После завершения загрузки установить программу-клиент.

5. Скачать русские шрифты по этим ссылкам:

• MtBdLfRg.ttf

• MtBkLfRg.ttf
• profontwindows.ttf

6. Зайти в папку: c:\Program Files\SecondLife\fonts

7. Заменить находящиеся в этой папке шрифты на скачанные с вышеуказанных ссылок.

8. Запустить программу-клиент.

9. Ввести логин полностью (выбранное имя и фамилию аватара), пароль в соответствующих полях (First Name – Имя, Last Name – фамилия, Password – пароль).

10. Нажать кнопку “Connect”

11. Вы окажетесь во Второй Москве, где можете спросить о дальнейшей помощи у других посетителей.

12. В клиенте Second Life нажмите в верхнем меню Edit, выберите Preferences, зайдите в раздел Network и установите Maximum Bandwidth в 1500 kbps и Disk Cache Size 1000MB, нажмите OK. Эти установки напрямую влияют на скорость загрузки пространств в мире, и делают навигацию более удобной.

13. Если вы потерялись в мире и хотите вернуться в Москву, нажмите ЭТУ ССЫЛКУ, чтобы телепортироваться на Moscow Island. Когда страничка загрузится, нажмите на ней кнопку Teleport now и затем Yes в появившемся окошке подтверждения.

14. Если Second Life работает медленно на вашем компьютере, нажмите в верхнем меню Edit, выберите Preferences, зайдите в раздел Graphics и перетащите ползунок в линейке Quality and Performance на минимальное (Low) положение. Это существенно ускорит клиент.

Visit Virtual Moscow in Second Life

And this moment has come. The long winter has ended, and winter problems have gone with it. It was a magnificent time for celebration and merriment. On March, 28th the virtual Capital of Russia already waited for its guests at the luxurious ball in the honor of spring’s arrival.

As expected, the ball has caused great interest among the Russian-speaking Community in Second Life. So many people wanted to attend, but unfortunately the place on the island was limited. And not everyone was honored to receive an invitation. Officers of Virtual Moscow had to do their best to let all the uninvited people know about reasons of their rejection. But everyone was wished a good luck and promised to be invited next time if they were lucky.

At 21:00 Moscow time the ball has begun, the music has started playing, and guests have commenced to arrive. More than 40 people have come to restricted island dressed in the most refined ball costumes. All of the Elite of Russian-speaking Community has gathered together, ranging from virtual businessmen to the local aristocracy.

The ball was opened by the owner of Virtual Moscow Musasi Tanabe, who gave the welcoming speech, promising all the guests an unforgettable evening: “I am very glad, that all my friends today found time and decided to join us in this lovely and such an extraordinary event, and I greatly hope, that today you will be able to feel the atmosphere of luxury, refined music and relaxed dialogue with people of equal rank. I wish you all to feel yourself as comfortable as possible at this ball.”

And he has not disappointed anyone. For a long time Moscow did not see such a magnificence: feminity and tenderness, honor and dignity, couples hovering above floor during dance, charming, excellent music. Everyone aspired to perfection and was perfect, expressed good manners and was simply an example of social etiquette. It was a journey into the past, journey into a century of music and literature, a truly classical ball, new entertainment for the high society of virtual world.

In the end of the celebration, according to tradition, the Queen of ball was chosen, this time there was not just one, but two. The title of Queen was received by Vega Pilipenko and Ellina Blachere. Virtual Moscow was always famous not only for its splendid taste, but also for its generosity. The girls have received Royal Title and money prize equal to 10,500 L$.

After midnight the music has stopped, but guests did not want to leave so early. A ball is not ordinary event, and there was a desire to have something of it for yourself to remember. So, everyone went to take photographs.

The ball has awarded all of its visitors with an unforgettable feeling of a holiday and perfect spring mood.

По словам представителей IBM, глобальные системы здравоохранения всего мира терпят кризис и к концу 2015 года станут нежизнеспособными. Они требуют непосредственного и тщательного реструктурирования. IBM призывает настроиться на новую политику, основными пунктами которой будут: новые уровни ответственности, напряженная работа и сосредоточенность на потребителе.

Остров здравоохранения прекрасно вписывается в футуристическую обстановку Second Life. Он являет собой – инновационную трехмерную окружающую среду, предоставляющую посетителям возможность познакомиться в интерактивной форме с новой системой информационного обмена медицинскими данными, основанной на открытых стандартах (IBM’s open-standards-based Health Information Exchange (HIE)).

Чтобы посетить этот остров, достаточно просто ввести “IMB Healthcare” в поиске и нажать на кнопку «телепорт». После телепорта нужно одеть HUD , который поможет разобраться со всем происходящем. Затем посетителю, предлагается создать факсимиле своего состояния здоровья (Personal Health Record) и понаблюдать, как их личные медицинские данные могут надежно взаимодействовать с другими частями системы электронного здравоохранения: с больницами, аптеками, лабораториями и т.д.

На острове расположены несколько локаций, которые можно при желании посетить:

Дом Пациента: В безопасной атмосфере частного дома посетители-пациенты могут заполнить медицинскую карту с личными характеристиками здоровья (вес, рост, кровяное давление, уровень сахара в крови), а потом транспортировать эту информацию в PHR или загрузить данные с ЕМР (электронная медицинская карта). При необходимости, пациенты могут установить защищенный доступ к информации.

Лаборатория: Здесь пациенты могут познакомиться со всеми преимуществами использования HIE, посмотреть свои анализы крови, тесты радиологии, сэкономив время и деньги.

Клиника: Также пациенты могут прогуляться до клиники, где их ожидают заботливые врачи и получить электронную версию рецепта.

Аптека: В аптеке можно получить информацию о выписанных лекарствах, обновить историю болезни в связи с новыми медицинскими предписаниями, что поможет избежать неправильного лечения и предотвратить покупку противопоказанных лекарств.

Больница: Дальше пациенту предлагается посетить больницу и обсудить свое состояние здоровья со специалистом. Полная имитация реальной больницы: комнаты ожидания, кабинеты врачей.

Комната неотложной помощи: Если пациент нуждается в экстренной помощи, ему может быть оказана скорая виртуальная помощь. Быстро обработав медицинскую карту, опытные врачи дадут все необходимые инструкции к дальнейшим действиям.

По данным HIMSS 2008 (ежегодная конференция по вопросам развития здравоохранения), открытие острова – одно из самых значимых международных событий в области здравоохранения.

Пока остров открыт только для работников IBM, но вскоре подобные острова должны появится для всех желающих.

Moscow in real life is one of the World’s greatest cities. Major urban complex, synonym of culture, wealth and material luxury – this is modern Capital of Russia. Second Life’s Moscow, based on genuine enthusiasm of community, will be a true image of the Russian Capital in the best sense of the term. Some of the main buildings in Moscow Island include the Red Square with its instantly recognizable Saint Basil’s cathedral, the mighty walls of the Kremlin, Lenin’s Mausoleum and GUM among others.

The Party begins with a special music performance. «Moscow is noted throughout the World for its night culture – how could we not maintain good traditions in the Virtual Moscow?», says party organizer Sergey Pimenov (aka Uplifto Ochs in SL), largest Russian dance music label UPLIFTO Chief. “We are also planning to build a number of social-and-recreational buildings in the city to be used for several cultural, educational and entertainment projects. “ said Sergey when asked about other plans for the community.

Virtual Moscow has already attracted many Russian and World mass media publications including CNN, REN TV, CNews, Russian Newsweek, Kommersant Dengi, TRUD, Business Petersburg, Dni.ru and other. This project began as a result of partners deciding to start a great architectural image in Second Life and eventually expanded into a much larger venture. Members believe that the culture exchange of nations in the virtual world can change real life.

Well, the epos begins on 19.00 Moscow Summer Time (8.00 Second Life Time), Saturday September 1st, 2007 at Red Square in Moscow Island. Avatar of DJ and songstress Tina Charles (aka Ti Nishi in SL) will entertain the party people. It is worthly of note that Virtual Moscow opening on the eve of 860th Moscow city anniversary celebration. «Therefore since we are all in it together, we can have a good time together!», calling up to the guests Tina.

Virtual universe Second Life (www.secondlife.com) – is a most popular 3D world. Second Life’s virtual currency is the Linden Dollar and is exchangeable for real money (1 US$ = 273 L$). Daily turnover of virtual economy is 1,2 – 1,5 million US$. According to Linden Lab information now in virtual world over 9 million residents. Furthermore experts says that 80 % of active Internet users will live «double life» latterly the end of 2011.
